I really did well with finding good sales last week...especially with Naughty Monkey. I was able to grab these for under $14!!!! I was on the fence with these when they dropped down to under $50, but when I saw them for $13.85...hitting "add to cart" became instinct.Like most ladies, I love having several shoes to work with my wardrobe, but I don't just want a "collection" of pretties or fads...I want shoes that are comfortable. If I can't wear a shoe comfortably for 4+ hours (most of my shoes are 8+ hours), I don't care how pretty they are...they get returned, given away, donated or thrown away. I have no patience or desperation for going through the discomfort and/or pain to look good. Other brands I love and wear a 6.5M consistently in their boots: Frye, Rockport, Clarks, Harley Davidson (usually fit me 1/4 size larger, but comfortably), Ariat, Born/Boc, Easy Spirit, Merrell, Sorel and Timberland.Naughty Monkey is a comfortable shoe for me, and I love their fun styles. The sizing in this bootie is spot on for 6.5M. I have average sized feet (if more narrow or wide, I'd lean more toward wide, though I'm not a wide) with a high arch and narrow heel. These fit like a glove around the foot, perfect wiggle room for toes, and the insole gives some arch support. They are not too tight nor too loose (with a goldtoe, light/med weight sock), with the exception of my narrow heel and thin ankles...I do have a good little bit of room above the heel and around ankle. --This doesn't shock me for the style and cut of this bootie (and my narrow heel/thin ankles), and it doesn't cause discomfort or give off an out of proportion appearance. The suede is not a thick, rich, plush suede (on texture/feel), but the suede is thick. These are delicately "distressed"...not the obvious warn toe look. They are made in India, the craftsmanship is very nice...I love the suede detailing and stitching...the braided suede, neatly stitched suede strips and layers of fringe...and these are a beautiful and classy bootie. I think these look much prettier on and in person than the photos can depict. These are made more for slim or toned ankles and legs, IMHO.I'm not use to booties for showing off (I usually go for booties to wear under "straight/boot cut" jeans or slacks), and I usually go for more "classic" style (and not fads), but these booties should be shown...with skirts/dresses, leggings, jeggings or with cropped jeans/pants...whichever is your personal style. The 2.5" heel is also very comfortable.I would have easily paid more for these, if I had seen them in a store. If you can find these at a bargain price, don't hesitate...just go with your instinct for your usual sizing. If you like the "show off" style of bootie, also don't hesitate...these are very pretty and comfortable.
